Basic Information about Me and My Services.

The most crucial aspect on your wedding day/special event is your face. This is what ties your total look together and what everyone will be looking at the very most. With all the pictures taken at your wedding/special event your skin must look flawless and beautiful. If you were considering doing your own make-up or having another means of make-up application done on your wedding/special event day, you need to know that standard make-up application is far too heavy for today’s photography. The training required for Media Make-Up Artistry is different from salon makeup and the makeup taught at cosmetology schools. It is essential for Media Makeup Artists to know about all types of lighting and film, and to know what type of makeup application is best for every media situation. Understanding the advanced technology of today, I can assure you that on “Your Special Day”, you will look nothing but beautiful.

What sets me apart from other Hair and Makeup Artist?

With Carrie Purser you get your personal licensed and certified hair and makeup artist. I have a state license to do hair and my Media Makeup Artist certification comes from a well recognized and respected school in Los Angeles. My education and training goes beyond cosmetology school and counter makeup you find in the malls. With me it means you have all your work provided by one artist, which will guarantee you satisfaction in my work. And best of all I come to you.

What locations do I travel to?

I can work in any location and any environment home, hotels, office buildings, venues ect. Carrie Purser is available for travel outside of Utah, please email me for more information.

Is there an additional travel price on top of my service charge for you to come to me?

Your service price includes my travel, as long as your location is in the Cache Valley area.

What are my business hours?

I work around the clock to assure you that I can accommodate to your needs. I am available 24/7 for your needs. Consultations by appointment only.

How many people can you work on at once?

I can accommodate any party size if the time permits. If your party is more then I can personally accommodate a $50.00 fee per additional artist is charged.

For wedding sessions, are you available for touch-ups after our appointment?

Yes, my fees cover your after ceremony and right before the reception. Please note that there is a $50 per hour charge for any additional hour on the job outside your initial contracted appointment with me.

Do I need to supply anything?

As a professional Hair and Makeup Artist I come prepared with everything needed to fulfill your needs. All I ask of you is to provide a space large enough to work in, at least 2 electrical outlets for every session and a water source (sink) for a one on one session.

What do you find the most common mistake brides make with makeup?

The biggest mistake brides make with makeup on their wedding-day is to have a friend or family member (someone who is not a professional makeup artist) do their makeup. Also, a big makeup no-no is to use foundation with SPF, or Mineral Makeup. The reason you don’t want to use these types of makeup is because it is reflective, so when you take photos, the flash will reflect off the makeup, making the subject look lighter than they actually are. Another thing that makes a big difference is the quality of makeup you use. You must use high-quality products designed to be photographed that will hold-up well throughout your special day applied by a professional.
